What is Depression?
Everyone feels sadness, disappointment, or a bit ‘blue’ occasionally. Depression, however, refers to a range of mood and other symptoms that are intense, overwhelming and persistent, causing high levels of distress to the individual. Depression interferes with people's day-to-day lives and relationships, and can negatively affect sleep, appetite, energy, motivation, libido and enjoyment of everyday activities.
