Critical Incident Support

At Lovett Psychology, I offer Critical Incident Support to Organisations whose staff need support after a traumatic event. With extensive experience in trauma, I can assess, diagnose, and treat a range of trauma-related conditions.

My goal is to provide people with the skills and strategies to help them cope in the aftermath of a traumatic event, as well as improve their resilience to face challenges that may come their way in the future. It is important for individuals to have access to skilled psychological support as quickly as possible after such an event to ensure wellbeing and reduced downtime.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a condition that can develop after a traumatic event. Symptoms of PTSD include:

  • reliving the traumatic event

  • being on-edge or extremely wound up (flight-or-fight response)

  • avoiding reminders of the event

  • feeling numb emotionally.

People suffering from PTSD can also experience other mental health problems at the same time, including anxiety and depression.
